Coincidentally to the American presidential election, last night I watched an episode of the classic sci fi comedy “Third Rock from the Sun” all about voting in a (local) election.

Dick, the High Commander, alien and undercover human is faced with the mystery of the human voting system and 2 candidates, neither of whom he admires.
