Picture the scene, a 1980/90s jokey word quiz game, on UK TV, “Call my Bluff”.

The idea is that 3 people give humorous anecdotes involving possible meanings of an unusual word – and one person on another team has to guess which is the correct one (there are 2 ‘bluffs’ ie incorrect meanings given also).

So far, so good, but in full flow of a highly imaginative story, comedienne Sandi Toksvig receives a scientific heckle from fellow team member, Heinz Wolff.
