Aroma Cafe

Not all cafes are created equally – this has stunning views over a Loch to begin with, clean crisp lines and beautifully made locally sourced food.  As the year gets colder, there is more than a hint of hyrgge comfort about it, with squashy sofas around a woodburning stove.

If you can tear yourself away from the cafe, there is a huge perfume studio offering a range of natural scents in various forms: soap, bubble bath – all great to buy as one-off gifts which are locally made and beautifully presented.

Activities – you can book a fragrance course with the perfumer – or – in separate studio, book photographic courses (beginning from one hour) to a full day excursion, led by top landscape photographers.  (book via The Image Studio).

It is not so much off the beaten track, as off the unbeaten track – but worth driving to find.  I haven’t been paid to tell you all this – but it is a wee gem and I want to see it thrive so that, selfishly, it’s still there for future years, for myself – as well as yourself.
